Mr. Maharaja has changed the name as Banjara Indian Cuisine and expanded to 796 Bloor Street west in September 2003. Exceptional compliments from the media and the repeated guests about the taste and quality, encouraged chef Raj Veerella to venture for the expansion to serve on Bloor Street and to accommodate the overflow of the small restaurant.
From the breads to the biryanis and sizzlers to the curries one will experience a unique taste at Banjara. Serving North and South Indian meat and vegetarian dishes, salads and desserts. Nearly 70 item a-la-carte dinner offers succulent Tandoori sizzlers, a variety of meat, chicken and vegetable curries, biryanis and naans, etc. A variety of vegetarian dishes are also made available in the menu to meet the vegetarians' needs.
Banjara Indian Cuisine is conveniently located in the heart of the Toronto city surrounded by major banks, shopping centers, subway stations, and the major intersections of the city. The restaurant has been regularly catering to University of Toronto Food Services, Faculty of Law and many other law firms in Toronto for the last 3 years. This 147-seater restaurant offers special deals for in-house parties and for catering.

A few words from Owner/Chef Raj Veerella…
We acquired Mr Maharajah Indian Cuisine on 7 Balmuto stree in October 2000. Soon the restaurant captured media's attention for its quality and affordability and was reviewed by many major newspapers. Compliments from repeated guests encouraged us to expanded to 796 Bloor Street west to be able to serve the entire neighbourhood from East and West to North and South. As a result Banjara Indian Cuisine on 796 Bloor Street west has been evolved as an expansion of Mr. Mahaaraja in September 2003. I would like to thank all our guests for their wonderful support and welcome the new guests to join us in this family spirit.
